How to Use FocuXTE — For Students
1. Viewing course material
Go to Artefacts from the home page, choose your Department and Subfolder, and click any file name to open it in a new tab. Files with an "Expires in N days" badge are temporary uploads — everything else is permanent course material.
Some files are only viewable during a specific window your teacher
sets. If you click a file before it's available or after its window
has closed, you'll see a message explaining when it will be (or was)
available — the file isn't necessarily deleted, just not viewable
outside that window yet.
2. Taking an exam
Your teacher will share a single link with you — open it directly in your browser (don't retype it by hand, since exact characters matter).
- If the exam hasn't opened yet, you'll see a message with the opening time — check back then.
- If the exam has already closed, you'll see a message with the closing time — no submissions are accepted after this.
- If it's open, fill in your Name, Roll No., and Batch/Division — all three are required — then answer each question and click Submit answers.
Question types you'll see
- Multiple choice — pick one option from a dropdown.
- True/False — pick True or False from a dropdown.
- Short answer — type your answer in a text box (up to 1000 characters, with a live counter). These are read and judged by your teacher afterward, not auto-scored, and don't count toward the shown score total.
You can only submit once. Double-check your answers
before clicking Submit — there's no edit option afterward.
3. After submitting
You'll see a confirmation that your answers were received. You can close the page — there's nothing further to do on your end. Results and scoring are handled by your teacher.
